Anonymous asked: would a wealthy victorian child have more friends tan a poor victorian child?
It would honestly depend on the child. A rich child in a social family would most likely spend time with a lot of the children of their parents’ acquaintances, but would also be limited to children in their own class.
Poor children didn’t usually have as many chances to meet others their own age, with many not going to school and many also already had jobs. But a poor child would also often be able to run around and meet other children more freely.
Of course, I’m not a scholar, so don’t take my word as law. If you’re really interested, go to the library and check out a book on children in the Victorian era. Good luck!
